Asset Summary

The Asset Management screen is organized into four parts and is accessed through the four tabs at the top of the screen. The four parts are Summary, Detail, Location, and Acquisition. After you add the asset tag number, you can click the "Add Asset" button to create the record. You can add more information about the asset later. The "Owner" and "Assignee" are hyperlinks to the customer database. The "Owner" of the asset might be the manager of the department. The "Assignee" of the asset is the name of the person that actually uses the asset. The "Owner" and "Assignee" of the asset could be the same person. For example, IT often "owns" the corporate printers that everyone uses. In this case, the assignee should be a manager in IT. When you attach an asset to a service request, Giva searches for the assignee name to obtain a match with the service request customer.
