Asset Acquisition

The Acquisition screen allows you to capture and track all information about the manner the asset was acquired including purchase, warranty, and lease information. This is especially useful so that unnecessary service time is not spent working on assets that are owned by a third party. If the asset is under warranty, you can simply send it back and get a new one if you know the warranty period. If you lease equipment, then leasing companies may require that you keep accurate records of your assets. If you have designated the acquisition type as lease, then you can enter the Lease Start Date and Lease Term. If you have designated that the asset was acquired as a loaner (e.g., from a vendor on evaluation) then you can enter the Loan Start Date and Loan Term.
