Quickly Configure and Customize Giva eHelpDesk
Giva eHelpDesk is easy to configure and customize. There are only a few required fields and several optional ones, allowing Giva's help desk software to be quickly set up but also very fleixible to meet your help desk needs.
The following are the required eight steps to get up and running with Giva:
- Add Service Groups
- Add/Edit Nature of Requests
- Add Locations
- Add/Edit Statuses
- Add Severity Level/SLA
- Add/Edit Service Desk Hours
- Service Desk Application Settings
- Add User/Customers
In the configuration guide Giva provides, at the end of the sections for Steps 1 through 7 is a worksheet table where you can manually enter information for that Step in preparation for entering it into the Giva system. Alternatively, you can log into Giva and begin entering the information directly into the application. For most of the Steps it is possible to go directly into the application and begin entering information.
Step 8 Add/Users/Customers can be completed by using the Batch Users/Customers Import function. Giva's industry standard Web Services API can also be used for an initial batch import of Users and Customers as well as maintaining ongoing synchronization between the two databases.
