There are two important fields to point out in the Knowledge Record above:
The check box in the knowledge record marked "FAQ" is the way to quickly create a link to this knowledge record on the FAQ/Most Frequently Used page. In order to do this, check the box and click update in the record. The next time that someone goes into the FAQ/Most Frequently Used page, this knowledge record title and a link to it will appear on the list.
Checking the "My Approval," box and updating the record will execute your approval. Depending on your Giva eKnowlegeManager application settings for the number of required approvers, this may automatically change the status to "Approved" if you are the last required approver. For each approver, the name and date appears on the updated record. Once the status changes to "Approved," the knowledge becomes available in searches.
Attach Files and Documents to Knowledge Record
In knowledge management, the saying that "a picture is worth a thousand words" is particularly true. Research shows that fewer customers call for help when there are simple pictures with text explaining the steps. Giva makes adding attachments easy. On every knowledge record, a hyperlink initiates the attachment process.
