Propose New Knowledge Process

As you can see, you can propose new knowledge quickly with only a few required fields. "Categories" is a dropdown menu to ensure consistency.

Figure 17: Propose New Knowledge

"Hot" knowledge

This only pertains to Proposed or In-Progress knowledge. You can designate new knowledge as "Hot" when you want to quickly share the knowledge. Knowledge can be marked "Hot" after it is proposed, but before approval has occurred. For example, perhaps your service desk suddenly noticed a number of customers calling about a certain function of a newly released product. When the team develops a workaround, they can propose the knowledge and mark it as "Hot." The workaround is then available to all customers, even before approval.
