Upcoming Cyber Security Events for 2020

2019 witnessed an increase in cyber security awareness by the government, private organizations and the general public. People now care more about data security and hold organizations accountable when they fail to protect it. For this reason and many others, 2020 will be jam packed with cyber security conferences and events. For your convenience, Giva has compiled the following list of upcoming cyber security events happening in the United States:

  1. Houston Cybersecurity Conference: January 23, Hyatt Regency, Houston, Texas

    This event offers an array of experts who will discuss current cybersecurity issues including email, USB drive, LAN and wireless security.   2. ShmooCon: January 31 - February 2, Washington Hilton Hotel, Washington DC

    This is a three-day hacker event which educates attendees on how tech can be exploited and introduces them to various security solutions. The first day consists of a track titled One Track Mind followed by two more days of tracks based on the theme "Build It, Belay It and Bring It On". Other related yet entertaining events will be ongoing during that time including the Lockpick Village, the Hack Fortress and much more.

  3. Network and Distributed System Security Symposium (NDSS): February 23-26, Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, San Diego California

    This symposium promotes the exchange of information among experts, researchers and security practitioners. It focuses on the practical aspect of adopting security technologies, specifically implementation and design. Security experts will discuss current and realistic solutions to security issues and every presentation will be followed by inclusive workshops and Q&A sessions.

  4. RSA Security Conference 2020: February 24-28, Moscone Center, San Francisco, California

    This five-day event is considered one of the world's best cybersecurity conferences. This year, the event's theme is "Human Element" and how the innovative ideas of individuals can play a major role in cyberattack prevention. The conference will include tutorial and training sessions, seminars, keynotes, innovations sandboxes and vendor expos.

    This event offers an array of experts and security solution providers who will discuss current cyber security issues and how to manage them.
