Giva Altruism Writing Intern Kayla Forcey Joins City Year
It is always an exciting and proud moment for Giva when our accomplished interns take their interests and skills to new heights. Kayla Forcey, one of our recent altruism writers and researchers, has chosen to do just that with City Year, a non profit dedicated to educating disadvantaged youth.
With locations all over the country and worldwide, the City Year mission is to show every student that they have a community believing in them and pushing them to stay in school and improve academically, as well as to give every child an opportunity to acquire the resources to meet their individual needs. More information can be found on their website.
With an impressive resume of previous volunteer work, Kayla's fervent passion for contributing to society is nothing short of inspirational.
Upon being notified of her acceptance into the City Year program, Kayla commented, "I'm so excited to start my year of service in Chicago and just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to write such a nice recommendation to help me get the position. My internship with Giva was such a beneficial experience and I am grateful to have had it."
"We are extremely pleased that Ms. Forcey's internship experience with Giva has played a role in leading her to this life changing opportunity with City Year that will, in turn, change the lives of others for the better. We at Giva congratulate Kayla, and thank her for her hard work, dedication to service and giving back, and we wish her all the best," said Ron Avignone, Giva founder.
Giva offers several internship opportunities throughout the year in various fields. For more information, see our current listings.
